I’m a digital journalist based in Chicago with a knack for reporting on national breaking news, politics and criminal justice.
Who am I?
I was born and raised in the Chicago area, and have a deep passion for my city. As a Midwestern woman of color covering national news, I always work to make sure people with similar backgrounds feel represented not only in my stories they read, but also in the newsroom they rely on. I also have a natural instinct to view institutional power with a critical eye, and try to write in a way that holds the powerful to account and that amplifies the voices most impacted by those institutions.

In my seven years of professional experience, I’ve reported with speed, accuracy, sensitivity and empathy. My work history includes local newspapers, legacy media wire nonprofits, and national digital publications. I have been reporting for HuffPost since January 2019.
